Here at Legacy we have been looking at ways to be more sustainable. As a business, all our packaging is already recyclable and we have brought in key ranges made from sustainable products such as bamboo, organic cotton and recycled polyester. But we have always wanted to do more; to give back and to help the environment on a larger scale.

Today, I am pleased to announce that we have partnered with One Tree Planted, a charity with a mission to help global reforestation efforts. For every 1 item sold from our sustainable range we will plant 1 tree.

The charity offers a number of programmes, and Legacy have chosen to focus on planting trees in Kenya, Africa. I was lucky enough to visit South Africa back in 2018 and it has always had a special place in my heart. I got to see first hand the wildlife such as majestic lions and giraffes in their natural habitat and how the local committees earned a living from protecting them and their homes.

By partnering up with One Tree Planted we will be helping rebuild the animals such as the giraffes habitat, restoring soil and critical watersheds, all while improving the lives of the communities who rely on the forests the most. Not only that, the One Tree Planted partners actively promote agroforestry and educate farmers on the benefits of improved forestry practices, providing communities with sustainable sources of food, wood, and income.
